HATLAB is where craftsmanship meets experimentation. A space born from the dialogue between tradition and modernity, between the precision of technique and the freedom of design.
Behind the name, two generations converge: one carrying decades of savoir-faire, the other bringing a fresh creative energy.
Their shared curiosity drives an ongoing exploration of form, proportion, and texture.
Philippe Borg, 58 yo, has been a master hat maker since 1995. He began his career in the performing arts, creating hats for theater and later for opera productions. Philippe decided to share his expertise by teaching the art of millinery. It was during one of these classes that he met Santiago de Barros, 22 yo, a devoted hat lover and a young creative already exploring fashion design.
What emerges are objects meant to be lived with. Genderless, versatile, and infused with quiet confidence.
